U.S. financial collapse would be a disaster for the world

A collapse of the U.S. financial system would be unacceptable, as it affects not only the United States, but other countries as well. The United States, the largest economy in the world, is one of the primary hubs of the larger global economy. Anything which affects it may soon affect others, bringing about a domino effect which could put the world in peril.

The issue at hand is seemingly trivial, but the consequences could be immense. Congress is struggling to reach a compromise to increase the nation’s debt limit, which has effectively been hit. If there is no increase in the limit, the nation will be unable to borrow money to pay for itself. At that point, government funding will collapse and the nation’s economy will begin to fall apart, or so the economists say.

China’s Xinhua News Agency commented on the issue, stating that the United States had been “kidnapped” by “irresponsible politics”. China is presently urging Washington to get its act together. Congress must compromise.

A blow to the world economy would also affect the Internet negatively, DaeZig included. Should the present situation in Cogress cause a debt default as described above, and should politicians in Washington be unable to pull out of the default in a timely manner, online businesses will begin to collapse. Should this happen, the happy and healthy Internet we know today could face hardships of unprecedented scale.

No beef with Anonymous: Vamont

Lord Vamont has publicly stated that there is no conflict of interests between DaeZig and Anonymous and has reaffirmed that the Internet stands united. “There has been no conflict between DaeZig and Anonymous since 2006. That war, while regrettable, does not affect our policy today,” Vamont stated, in reference to a 2006 cyberwar.

“The [anti-DaeZig] video on YouTube was made by Entropian drug addicts and does not reflect relations between DaeZig and the [typical member] of Anonymous. It was made by a drug addict in an attempt to start a cyberwar. Google will demonstrate this, though no one watches the video anyway,” Vamont continued.

“The Internet stands united as it always has, more or less. We may disagree sometimes, but when the outside world, the Simpletons try to interfere in one community’s affairs, it becomes everyone’s problem,” he finished.

Anonymous: Second Superpower

“They fold like a house of cards,” the FBI chief says. “[They're] looking at 20 years for hacking into the CIA Web site.”

The rouge governments of the world, in an attempt to save themselves from humiliation and hide their decades of lies from their people, have declared war on Anonymous. Twenty thousand or so Internet denizens now stand before the combined resources of dozens of countries. These cyber-denizens have no guns. They have no declared or recognized sovereignty. Many of them don’t even have a driver’s license. But to quote them directly, they’re not sacred.

Their words make the people of the world smile. “We are not scared any more. Your threats to arrest us are meaningless to us as you cannot arrest an idea. Any attempt to do so will make your citizens more angry until they will roar in one gigantic choir. It is our mission to help these people and there is nothing — absolutely nothing — you can possibly to do make us stop.”

The world’s so-called governments do not comprehend the power of the Internet. They fear it, but they do not fear it enough. There is no longer just the threat of information leakage. There is an existential threat.

Anonymous, known at every corner of the Internet as a wild and chaotic entity, is not a “group of hackers”. It is a second world superpower, capable of undoing even the United States. The United States needs to understand and accept this, back down from its aggressive position and submit to the moral guidelines presented by Anonymous.

Anonymous has a limitless supply of manpower and cyber-resources. Any attempt to stifle the superpower will end in pathetic failure while the Internet laughs from the sidelines. Anonymous can win in battle against the United States without firing a shot or even leaving its computer desk. The world’s most arrogant power, however, is likely incapable of understanding this.

Elections in Vamont have concluded

The results are in! With a 70% turnout of active Vamontians, the 2011 Administrative Elections in Vamont ended in an overwhelming victory for Lord Vamont as Vamontian Community Administrator. Vamont won 10-3 over the opposition candidate in his first ever fair democratic battle. Lord Maleificus defeated both Lord Kabaka and Lord Sakon in a less impressive dual 5-4 outcome.

Lord Maleificus’ victory is unlikely to go beyond Vamont, depending on what happens in the delayed Sinsiran vote. Sinsirans widely support their Community Administrator and massively outnumber their Vamontian kin. Even with an absolute minimal turnout, Sinsirans could easily defeat the Vamontian outcome, even though Vamontian turnout was 70%.

The start date of the Sinsiran election has not been announced, but it is expected to run for a month and start before the end of the present month. The reasons for the delay are not known, but what is known is that it will go ahead.
