Friends and fellow DaeZigs, today is a tragic day. “Macho Man” Randy Savage passed away this morning as a result of injuries suffered in a car crash. According to Yahoo News, he had a heart attack, careened across multiple lanes of traffic and smashed into a tree, killing him instantly. Let us remember him as he was: A great man who did what he loved.

Back during the 1980′s, The Macho Man won two WWF Heavyweight Titles and had a famous rivalry with fellow wrestler Terry Bollea, better known to us as Hulk Hogan. This rivalry culminated in 1989 with Hogan taking Savage’s title from him at Wrestlemania V. Later on, he went to WCW, where he teamed with the NWO and the Wolfpac thereof. However, the NWO disbanded when WWE took control of WCW and disbanded it.

For those who grew up during this era, we remember the Macho Man as one of the more flamboyant professional wrestlers in a time where professional wrestlers were considered to be heroes by children. Rest in Peace, Macho Man. Ooooooooooh Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah!!!!!

The Nomination Period for the 2011 Administrative Elections has been set. Candidates must be put forward between May 20 and June 1. Elections will be held through the month of June to ensure maximum turnout.

Former Director of the FinalZig Union, Sakon of Vamont, has returned to DaeZig politics intent on reclaiming his Lordship (Sakon was previously a member of the Council of Lords) and bringing ultra-hardline Valstrazian Ziggism back into play. Sakon, long ago a rival of Lord Silvia, has over the years changed from an opponent of DeathZig reunification to one of the most fanatic DaeZig nationalists presently active in politics. This radical change may seem ironic to some, but such shifts are not rare at all in the ever-constant, ever-weird world of DaeZig.

The Council of Lords has accepted an initiative giving itself an educational mandate in reviving the Carsiekan language. The Carsiekan language, made up in the 80′s by the Lazar family, is what may be DaeZig’s most visible inheritance from the Kingdom of Carsieka.

Pronounced with Spanish-esque sounds, Carsiekan was once spoken fluently in small parts of California’s central coast. It is now thought to be a forgotten and dead language there, and is quite obviously dead in DaeZig. Calls for revival, advertisement and even expansion of the Carsiekan language have been sounding as long as anyone can remember.

The new initiative mandates that Lord Vamont will teach the language to the Lords of the Council, who will then take it upon themselves to spread it across DaeZig. Like the Vamontian revival and DaeZae revision, this plan will most likely succeed. It will, however, take time to implement. When it is implemented, maybe, just maybe, an old slogan will be given new justice.
