Exit Jubilee

Rotating glass Surpluz by Kabaka

2010 has been a milestone year for DaeZig. Twenty-five years prior to this year, the Kingdom of Carsieka, DaeZig’s 20th century predecessor state, was founded. Five years ago, DaeZig itself was founded. This 25&5 anniversary year has been marked by the height of post-FinalZig prestige. Population expansion, democratic reform, the resurrection of DaeZig’s Vamont Cina as a thriving online community. A large information campaign has also been undertaken in 2010. Voice of DaeZig’s foundation, the Sinsira Wiki primarily authored by Lord Vamont and the streamlining of DaeZig information websites.

These accomplishments come on the Silver Jubilee of Carsiekan foundation, marking a quarter century of DaeZig history. The year 2010 will be celebrated long after it is gone as the year in which DaeZig finally reached the Silvian-era goal of re-establishing a great and prosperous nation. To further celebrate the year, the implementation of a new national anthem is in the works. The anthem, which will embody the spirit of 2010 forever is named “Hail to the Victor’s Blade”. Vamont Cina is preparing to implement a new community flag which incorporates aspects of the Carsiekan flag, symbolizing Vamont’s status as the direct successor to the great Kingdom.

2010 has brought much good, and 2011 will only continue the great advances of our Grander DaeZig Empire under the leadership of Empress Daesiga and under the black, red, white and light blue banner of the restored DeathZig.

DaeZig gives up military option

DaeZig has given up offensive cyberwarfare measures as a means of dealing with malicious communities, a move which is seen as an admission by DaeZig that its 2010 “Deterrence” strategy has failed to deter aggressive parties. Observers long predicted that DaeZig would eventually give up attempting to make “examples” out of malicious communities when it recognized that malicious persons were not learning from such examples.

Vamontian Initiative #2, put forward on December 2nd and finally passed on December 19th, forbids the use of cyber-forces to deal with provocations unless the provocateurs deal actual “damage” to DaeZig. After the Initiative, the December 26 Black Army doctrine went on to say that, with almost no exceptions, force is only to be used against other Great Powers. This concludes a year of militarism by implementing a doctrine of extreme restraint and reservation.

The new DaeZig Overseer

On December 8, Lord Maleificus was replaced by Lord Kabaka in a typical quiet transfer of power. 19 days later, The Administration has completed its adjustments. This is likely the last such change until the planned 2011 elections.

It is a significant change. A reformist Overseer has been replaced by a conservative one. Lord Kabaka’s first actions as Overseer included removing interactive features from DaeZig’s central information website and restoring NIKOnet’s website to its Sinsira domain location.

In DaeZig’s opinion, the Internet is a realm that is to be governed by its people, not by undereducated and misinformed outsiders who don’t even understand how a computer works. The recent attempt by various unrelated entities to stifle the Wikileaks community is an unacceptable intrusion into Internet affairs. The response by Anonymous was thus proportionate and justified fully. DaeZig smiles upon the measures used against the would-be censors and oppressors. The 4channer-led campaign has sent a powerful message to the world: When entities from outside the Internet attempt to interfere in Internet affairs, it’s going to end badly.

“Channers and DaeZigs have never gotten along, but we must remember that they too are Internet denizens, sort of like family in a way. You do not choose your family, and you must support them,” stated a DaeZig official. The official went on to warn that if Anonymous faced any “complications” or was “forced onto the defensive”, DaeZig’s official neutrality would have to be reviewed.

These statements show that there is a steel-strong bond between even the most diverse Internet communities. Internet communities may fight amongst each other, but when an outside power causes one problems, those problems affect all. This is why for once, DaeZig stands firmly aligned with a community that has been a source of inspiration for many troll aggressors. The existence of this alignment shows just how strong the Internet truly is, not simply in the sense of materials and manpower, but also in integrity and indivisibility. We stand united. There is nothing that can overcome the Internet. Before attempting to disrupt Internet affairs, one should carefully take into account two things: We do not forgive and we do not forget.

Let aggressors also take into account that just because heroes are busy with someone else doesn’t mean that they are forgetting their other enemies. Claiming “victory” over an invincible cyber-power at the moment it becomes preoccupied is much the same thing as a drugged man citing a “Pause” screen as evidence that he has won a video game. Right now, the forces of Anonymous are engaging the would-be censors and oppressors on a global scale. There will be time for UFO cultists later. And while DaeZig is not currently engaging either, it should be noted that this is because Great Powers are capable of taking care of their own business. Long live Yotsuba, Anonymous.

Lord Vamont, hardliners found International Ziggist Commission

Ebisign of Ziggist operatives

Lord Vamont and members of his Valstrazian Ziggist Conservative Party have founded an “International Ziggist Commission” which aims to represent Ziggism as defined by its creators. Vamont and colleagues complain that their rigid flavor of Ziggist ideology has been snubbed “everywhere” in the post-2007 years and that the knowledge and ideological influence that once defined Ziggist cyber-states has faded.

The Valstrazian Ziggist Conservative Party, which supports the Commission, holds the Community Administrator positions of all three DaeZig Cinas as well as a majority on the Council of Lords. The hardline party does not intend to push any ideological Initiatives through the Council of Lords, says Vamont. “The new Commission’s work is purely informational, and most of its political operations will be conducted outside of DaeZig. DaeZig is still friendly to our cause, if not rabid about it. As Empress Daesiga would say ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.’”
